Launching in October 2016, Calm & Connection Physiotherapy are proud and excited to bring clinical physiotherapy services to the Sale, Victoria region.

As the director and principal physiotherapist at Calm & Connection, I find myself taking a moment to quietly remember where I was a year ago; pregnant, exhausted with my current workplace and it’s politics, and desperately longing to use more of my specialist skills to help people. After all, I was (and still am), so excited about showing the world what pelvic floor physiotherapy can offer clients.
Sitting in my lounge room with a bunch of girlfriends, including my good friend and inspiring business woman, Kerry Dover, client happiness director at Pepperpot Marketing, I outline the dream that I had explored in my head hundreds of times:

“A physiotherapy and wellness clinic that provides competent, evidence based, meaningful healthcare in a supportive and kind, team-based environment.”

“A model of health care delivery that promotes health and empowers people suffering from pelvic floor dysfunction and to provide a specialist service that is important to regional areas.”

I longed to be in the driver’s seat, caring for the Calm & Connection Physiotherapy team, because being happy and pursuing passion and knowledge leads to a meaningful life, and that can impact on patient and community health in turn.

…And now the dream is real! Calm & Connection Physiotherapy are offering both Mindful Core Pilates classes and individual physiotherapy consultations out of our new home at Chapter House, 147 Cunninghame Street, Sale, VIC.

My eyes lit up when a big truck full of physiotherapy equipment arrived at the door. Biofeedback units, EMG sensors, Rock tape, treatment beds and foam rollers were amongst the exciting delivery, and of course, my pride and joy; a Mind-ray real time ultrasound unit! Now this isn’t your stock standard ultrasound unit that physiotherapists in times gone by used to treat your sprained ankle with. This is a state-of-the-art imaging device that lets me see images of the client’s bladder to assess how much lift the pelvic floor is providing, the abdominal wall to see if the core is being properly recruited as well as more advanced pelvic floor assessments. OK, you get the point, I am excited about my work! …. and I can’t wait to show you all (:

I am also excited to announce some of the services Calm & Connection Physiotherapy provide:
